The Story of Edgar Sawtell David Wroblewski

Because I have no idea what to say about this book, except that it is haunting, and hard to put down, I am going to quote Mark Doty who reviewed it on the back of the book.
"This remarkable hybrid seems like an impossibility: an American Hamlet, both ghost story and melodrama, a coming of age tale, a hymn to the land, and central to it all, some of the best writing about the inner lives of dogs anywhere."
Yep, that about says it all, except it is beautifully written, well-drawn characters, and it's a first novel. Wonder if Mr. Wroblewski has more stories in him.

The Last White Knight Tami Hoag

An interesting story, but a real bodice ripper. I could have done with a LOT less of that; given to me by my friend Jackie, and I can't wait to talk to her about it tomorrow.

The Brass Verdict Michael Connolley

A well-written thriller that had me totally confused until the very end. Murders, a recovering attorney, jury tampering, and a relationship between the atty and Hieronymous Bosch.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Stieg Larsaan

This was my first Amazon Kindel book. I think I like the idea of not spending $25 on a book, and not having yet another book to shelve, but it is a little awkward to use. I hit the wrong button a couple of times and had to retrace my steps.
The book is really interesting,-it is really two or three stories. A crime or non-crime against Harriet, the financial dealings of the magazine, and the personal relationship between the author and the title character. Long, but very engaging. Actually I have no idea it actually is, because you can't put a whole page on the screen at once, and I never saw the actual book. Maybe I'll check out the real thing at Barnes and Noble.
